Harlem, the place where everything is possible?

Marcus Samuelson was born in Ethiopia and then moved to New York.

He became a star in the kitchens of New York and Europe.

He is the chef of a great restaurant, the Aquavit.

To help the city's poorest residents, Marcus opened a restaurant, the Red Rooster in Harlem. The place mixes food, culture and history.

He has also appeared on major cooking shows such as top chef.

President Obama even asked him to be his chef for his first state dinner.

Kibonen Nfi is a young woman of Cameroonian origin who also moved to New York.

She has always dreamed of becoming a great stylist.

She opened her first shop in New York where you can find very colourful clothes with patterns reminiscent of African style.

Later, she became an ambassador of African style by creating her own clothing brand, participating in major fashion shows, being on the cover of popular magazines and appearing on well-known shows such as the EllenShow.

These two stories show us that Harlem makes it possible for people who started from scratch to become world-famous celebrities.
